What we do

Not every engineering challenge requires the same type of support.
That’s why IEE operates through three complementary service lines.

How we work

Every organization works differently. Different tools, different processes, different standards, and different ways of making decisions. Rather than asking clients to adapt to us, we adapt to the way they already operate. This allows engineers, designers, and consultants to integrate faster, contribute sooner, and work effectively within existing teams and workflows.

Building engineers who can integrate quickly

Technical knowledge alone is not enough in advanced manufacturing environments. Engineers also need practical experience, strong communication skills, and an understanding of how organizations operate. That’s why every IEE engineer progresses through a structured three-stage competence model before joining a client engagement.

1. Academic & soft skills

The technical foundation and communication ability required for complex engineering work.

2. Work-experience competencies

Hands-on experience mapped against the requirements of each sector.

3. Occupational competencies

Mastering the client’s specific tools, processes, standards, and Ways of Working.

The result is engineers and teams that integrate into client environments from day 1, require less onboarding, and maintain consistent technical depth across all three services.

How an engagement starts

Regardless of the service, every engagement follows the same structured process. The goal is to establish alignment early, reduce implementation risk, and ensure that both sides share a clear understanding of objectives, responsibilities, and expected outcomes.

Together, we define the scope of work, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.

We meet the project team, understand the operational environment, and, where relevant, visit the manufacturing facility, engineering department, or project site.

We capture the client’s processes, tools, standards, and delivery expectations so they can be incorporated into preparation and delivery.

Depending on the service, this may involve team mobilization, project kickoff, milestone planning, or consultancy scoping.

Work begins under IEE’s standard quality processes, including the 4-eye principle (peer review by a second engineer), structured reviews, and methodology-driven delivery. Lessons learned are continuously fed back into our Competence Model to strengthen future engagements.

What makes us different

Engineering expertise is expected. What differentiates IEE is how that expertise is developed, deployed, and integrated into client environments. Across all three service lines, the same principles apply: strong engineering fundamentals, structured methodologies, operational alignment, and a delivery model designed for advanced manufacturing environments.

Methodology built into the work

Every IEE service is grounded in structured engineering methodology. Depending on the challenge, this may include V-Model systems engineering, FMEA, RAMS analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or Operational Research methods. The objective is always the same: identify issues early, reduce unnecessary rework, and make better engineering decisions before problems reach production.

Multi-disciplinary engineering expertise

Complex engineering challenges rarely fit neatly into a single discipline. Our teams bring together expertise across mechanical, electrical, software, systems, thermal and fluid management, precision engineering, optics, vacuum systems, advanced physics, and metrology. This breadth allows us to understand how different parts of a system interact, rather than solving problems in isolation.

Built for advanced manufacturing

Advanced manufacturing environments place unique demands on engineering teams. Tight tolerances, complex integration requirements, regulatory constraints, and high reliability expectations leave little room for error. Our engineers are trained and developed specifically for these environments, allowing them to contribute effectively across manufacturing, product development, and operational improvement programs.

Fast mobilization, structured delivery

When engineering support is needed, speed matters. Our delivery model is designed to minimize unnecessary delays between identifying a need and starting work. At the same time, mobilization is supported by structured onboarding, Ways of Working alignment, and established quality processes that help ensure consistency from the outset. To protect continuity, we also maintain reserve bench capacity sized against our attrition rate. This buffer keeps delivery uninterrupted if a team member leaves, supports planned succession rather than reactive backfilling, and lets us ramp up quickly when an engagement needs to scale.

EU nearshore delivery

IEE combines the flexibility and cost efficiency of a nearshore delivery model with the legal, regulatory, and operational advantages of working entirely within the European Union. Clients benefit from access to highly skilled engineering talent operating under the same GDPR, intellectual property, and contractual frameworks that apply across the EU.
